About the challenge

The 8 Week Youth System Challenge is about helping young athletes to become more athletic and to build these foundations that are required to be the best you can be and to stay free of injury.

For eight weeks young athletes are fully coached for at least three sessions a week. We start with a thorough assessment to understand where you are at and where you need to be given the demand of your sport. Based on that we determine what sessions will be best for you.

The sessions are group sessions at take place at 6am, 3.30pm and 5pm on weekdays. You must commit to a minimum of three sessions per week, but you can come as often as you like.

We call it a SYSTEM Challenge for a reason! At the heart of Athlete Nation’s training is our Kritz Movement System. It's our science based system that we use to help you progress towards your goals safely at your own pace and level.

The Kritz Movement System has been developed by Performance Coach Dr Matt Kritz to make high performance knowledge and culture available to everyone. Athlete Nation provides a range of proven, science-based sessions based on high performance principles, in a fun, team training environment.

Movement Matters Most

Movement underpins everything we do at Athlete Nation. Initially we teach you to 'move correctly', to ensure you will build the foundations required to be the best you can be. Group sessions, but all specific to your sport

All sessions are group sessions. However, our training method ensures that everyone can work at their own level and own pace. To illustrate this; each movement (exercise) can be performed in different ways to suit someone's level. Our coaches ensure you do the level that suits you and regress and progress to ensure your safety and continuously progress in your training.

Whether you are a ground or water based athlete you can develop your relative total body strength, increase your core strength, improve your running fitness and learn to run faster and change direction with safer mechanics.

The first two sessions of the challenge are dedicated to your assessment, which is needed to understand where you are at and where you want to be so we can guide you towards your goals.

Session times

  • Session times are 6am, 3.30pm and 5pm on weekdays. You choose your three sessions per week and stick to these for the full 8 weeks.

Where

All sessions take place at Athlete Nation, 502 Grey St, Hamilton East.

Costs

The 8 Week Youth System Challenge is $25 per week ($5 discounted from the regular price). A registration fee of $40 applies. This includes a quality T-Shirt at the end of the challenge.
